General Conditions of Use
You must be 18 years or older, or have guardian permission, to make purchases. We may refuse service at any time for any reason. Website content (including pricing, stock, and policies) may change without notice. All images displayed on this website, including text, logos, and content, are protected by copyright and may not be used or reproduced without permission.
We may update these Terms at any time, and any changes take effect once posted online. Continued use of the website indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
You agree not to misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security features, or use automated tools (e.g., bots, crawlers) without permission.

Product Disclaimers
We aim to provide accurate product descriptions, images, and care instructions. Please note that colour appearance may vary between devices. Dye lots, textures, and patterns may vary between batches.
Where possible, fabric will be supplied in one continuous length. If this is not available, we will contact you before processing your order. While we do our best to maintain accurate stock levels, fabric inventory can be difficult to manage and occasional shortages may occur. In this case, we will contact you using the details provided to arrange a suitable solution.
Certain materials (e.g., velvet, faux fur, PVC, bra foam) may be affected when folded for postage. We take great care when packaging, but creasing may still occur, especially with crease-prone products. In-store pickup is recommended for delicate fabrics, if possible. Purchasing these materials online indicates acceptance of this risk.
We follow the Consumer Goods (Care Labelling) Information Standard 2023, with fabric care codes displayed in the product details on our online store and on physical product tags in-store. Customers are required to follow these care instructions. Additional guidance can be found on our Fabric Care page.

Pricing & Payments
All prices are listed in AUD unless a price conversion has been selected. Online prices may vary from those offered in-store. Prices may change at any time, and full payment is required at checkout. We reserve the right to cancel any orders deemed suspicious or fraudulent.
All payments are processed securely using encrypted, PCI-DSS–compliant payment systems.

Shipping, Delivery & Tracking
We offer flat-rate shipping Australia-wide for $12 AUD, with free domestic shipping on purchases over $150 AUD. Orders ship within 1–3 business days. For deliveries within Australia, we use Sendle and Direct Freight Express; international orders are shipped via Australia Post. Please note that Sendle and Direct Freight Express deliver only to street addresses and cannot ship to PO boxes.
Once an order is marked as delivered by the carrier, responsibility transfers to the customer. We are not liable for carrier delays, incorrect delivery addresses, or lost or stolen parcels after delivery is confirmed. Customers must ensure the delivery address is secure and accurate.
If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect address, failure to collect, or refusal of delivery, reshipment costs will be the responsibility of the customer.
Delays may occur during busy periods (e.g., sales, Christmas).

International Orders
Delivery times vary by country.
Customers are responsible for customs duties, taxes, and import charges.
Returns for international orders are accepted only for confirmed faulty items.
Customs inspections may cause delays outside our control, and delivery estimates do not include potential customs processing times.

Order Changes, Returns & Refunds
Return Policy
We have a 14-day return policy, meaning you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. We do not offer returns on items sold by the metre, as these have been cut to order. Customers are responsible for return postage unless otherwise stated.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in its original condition. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Order Changes & Cancellations
Orders may be changed or cancelled before cutting or dispatch. Once fabric is cut or shipped, changes cannot be made. If an item becomes unavailable after an order is placed, we will contact you regarding substitution, store credit, or a refund.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Cut items such as fabric and trims cannot be returned unless faulty. We also cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards. Please contact us if you have questions about a specific item.
Damages & Issues
To be eligible for a return on a faulty item, please contact us within 10 days of receiving your order. Misuse, washing damage, or wear-and-tear does not constitute a fault. If the product is faulty, do not wash, cut, or alter the fabric, as this helps us identify the issue.
A staff member must confirm the fault before a refund, exchange, or credit is issued. Return authorisation is required before items are sent back. If your return is accepted, we will send you a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to send your package.

Refunds
We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return and let you know whether the refund is approved. If approved, you will be refunded automatically to your original payment method within 10 business days.
Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card provider to process the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since approval, please contact us at online@darncheapfabrics.com.au.

Gift Vouchers & Discount Codes
Online gift vouchers are redeemable only on our website, as they contain a unique code valid exclusively online. In-store gift vouchers are redeemable only at physical store locations. Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced. Gift vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of issue.
Discount codes provide promotional savings as stated in the associated offer. Codes must be entered at checkout and cannot be applied after a purchase is completed. Unless specified otherwise, discount codes:
i. are valid for a maximum of limited time
ii. apply only to eligible full-priced items
iii. cannot be combined with other promotions, sale items, or coupon codes
iv. are limited to one use per customer
v. cannot be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash or store credit
Codes may include minimum spend requirements or product exclusions. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or cancel any discount code at any time without notice. Misuse of discount codes may result in order cancellation.

Privacy Policy
Personal information is collected, stored, and handled securely, and is used only to fulfil orders or for purposes you explicitly permit. We do not share your information except as required for payment processing, delivery, or legal compliance.
By creating an online account, you consent to us storing your personal information, which is never used for automated decision-making. You are responsible for keeping your details accurate and up to date. You may request removal of your personal information from our database at any time.
You are responsible for all actions taken using your username, email, and password, and should not share these credentials with others.
Our store is hosted by Shopify, which securely stores your order information using encrypted, PCI-DSS–compliant systems. Our privacy policy should be read together with Shopify’s privacy policy. Shopify uses cookies to provide a personalised shopping experience.
We use MailChimp to manage our mailing list, and it only accesses data voluntarily provided when signing up. You can update your email preferences or unsubscribe at any time.
Please note that links on our site may direct you to external websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage users to review the privacy statements of any third-party sites they visit.

Limitation of Liability
We are not responsible for indirect or consequential damages resulting from website use or product use. Liability is limited to the purchase price of the item.
We are not liable for delays or failure to fulfil orders caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, courier disruptions, strikes, or government restrictions.

Governing Law & Australian Consumer Law Rights
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be handled in Victorian courts unless otherwise required by law.
